Climate Change

Few would argue that the climate has not changed in the history of the world. There is overwhelming evidence that it has on many occasions. Few would deny that the Earth has been (and is) subject to cycles of change. From the 'pressesion of the equinoxes' every 26,000(aprox) years to the changing of the seasons 4 times in a year any the very many cycles that continue to happen with varying frequency.maw inbetween. Many of these cycles are due in no small part to the nature of how the Earth travels around the Sun and the peculiarities in its alignment and the effects caused by its none circular orbit. These conditions are also a simple matter of fact. The question that ocupies many is the proposition that humans may, and do, influence not only the environment but also the climate in the short (relatively speaking) term and the degree of that influence. 'The Chip Shop' suposes that climate change is brought about by a combination of nature and humanity and that it is difficult, if not imposible, to divorse the two and measure their indipendant degree of influence. In this near future thriller, the climate has changed with both expected and unexpected results e.g. the effect on Britain of the flow of the Gulf Stream. This story, however, takes into account the effects of environmental changes and how they interact to produce results that we should expect but which, in human history, we rarely seem to.
